Performed major modifications to One Stop and NDS (DDA) screens and programs.  Performed major conversions for the Demand Deposit Accounting (DDA) System: Wire Transfer Conversion and the National Deposit System (NDS) to Systematic International (SI) Conversion.  Performed Y2K changes and testing to the Demand Deposit Accounting (DDA) System.  Project Leader of the Y2K testing for the associated Texas programs of the DDA system.  Performed an audit of all associated Texas programs of the DDA system. Performed system design, program specifications and coded the programs using COBOL II & 370, CICS, IMS DB, DB2 and SPF2 (screen generator).

Performed major enhancements to the Minimum Distribution and the Systematic Withdrawal Systems, development of Marketing/Agent Compensation System, and individual development of Non-Entitlement Reporting System using LOTUS Notes with uploads/downloads to the mainframe (quasi client server).  Validated programming changes and test results of other programmers for the Minimum Distribution and the Systematic Withdrawal Systems.  Performed project feasibility, system design, program specifications and coding.  Developed the programs in COBOL II or APS with IMS DB/DC and DB2 on the PC using APS/Micro Focus Workbench and Stingray IMSVS86 DB/DC and XDB.

Development of the Medical Insurance Claims System.  Worked on the Claims Control team, which wrote the controlling system that processed the claims in CICS real time.  Performed design, specifications, program development and central support functions for every team. This system was written in APS (COBOL code generation) on the PC using CICS, XDB (DB2), and Micro Focus Workbench (CICS/DB2 on the mainframe).

Worked on Billing and Health Claim Systems.  Made major enhancements and developed sub‑systems.  Integrated new insurance companies into PALICO Health Claim Systems.  Developed specific processing for each new company. Wrote system to standardize names and addresses for PALICO Billing and Claim Systems to allow automated provider entry.  Performed program specifications and coded the programs in COBOL, CICS, and VSAM.

Major Enhancements and development for the Suspense Processing Enhancements Project (was Project Leader with up to five people), the Policy Loan Group Repay Project, and the Owner/Annuitant Project. Developed the programs in COBOL II with DB2 and IMS DB/DC on the PC using Micro Focus Workbench, Stingray IMSVS86 DB/DC, and XDB.

Worked with the Application Response Processing System, a system that completely processes credit card applications, including credit bureau investigations, etc.  This was a COBOL CICS on-line VSAM system. Developed the programs in COBOL, CICS, VSAM.

Worked with the Product Volume System. Functioned as one of the leads to start up the project of 10 people.  Made major modifications to the online screen programs to more efficiently monitor the movement of the products in large volumes.  Programs were written in COBOL and IMS DB/DC.

Worked with the Responsibility Center System.  Helped develop two sub-systems in RC: RC/SIMAP - a company-wide inventory system using the RC system as an interface for control; and Alternate Reporting Network - an online system that allows the user to setup different RC relationships to report non-financial entities.  Used extensively the Upstream Utilities in developing these sub-systems.  Developed specifications, wrote the programs using PL/1 and IMS DB/DC, created the screens using SCREEN PLUS, and tested with BTS and IMS EXPERT.

Responsible for complex systems analysis, design, development, batch and on-line programming and documenting of the Navy Standard Civilian Payroll System (NAVSCIPS).  This system was designed using the YOURDON/DEMARCO technology and being developed on a VM/CMS system, using COBOL, IDMS, and XMENU (interactive screen handler).  Worked directly with government project managers to ensure adherence to functional correctness.  Completed performance testing.

Responsible for systems analysis, batch and on-line programming, testing and documenting of financial and accounting systems.  These systems were developed using COBOL, IBM ASSEMBLER, CICS (COMMAND-LEVEL) and VSAM.  Designed and developed complicated interest calculating routines for use of the Demand Deposit Accounting System (Money Market and NOW) when interest-bearing checking accounts were first introduced.  Independently designed, developed, tested, trained users and documented the CICS on-line Equity Management System.

Responsible for some systems analysis, development, batch programming, testing and documenting of financial and accounting systems.  These systems were developed using COBOL, PL/1 and IDMS. Worked on a development team, developing systems such as the Student Loan System (to be used throughout Florida) and the Data Center's Computer Usage Billing System.  Designed and wrote the specifications for the creation of a test IDMS database system for the Student Loan System.  Performed system support tasks such as software installation, developing programming standards for the Data Center and independently developed and implemented a public library (using menu's) of common procedures and utilities in the INTERACT System for the programming staff.
