Intercoastal Waterway in
Alabama - We would sail into Alabama by way of the Intercoastal Waterway
(ICW). At ICW Marker #65 was our favorite spot to lunch - Pirates Cove!
We would tie up to the docks and buy a hamburger, fries and coke. It
was so relaxing. Then we would wind our way back into Robert's Bayou
to spend a few nights. Way back in the bayou where there were only
corn fields and Bald Eagles. One night a motor yacht came to the end
of the bayou, where we and another sailboat were tied together. They
were strange looking, they circled us twice, they stared at us, and then
they left....strange feeling!
